Information
Harada Tomoyo first entered the world of show business in 1982 when she won the special award for the audition Kadokawa Movie Large Scale New Face Recruiting. That same year, she made her debut as an actress in the dorama Sailor Fuku to Kinjuu'. She also debuted as a singer with the single "Kanashii Kurai Honto no Hanashi".
She experienced a huge boost of popularity when she starred in the lead role in the dorama Nerawareta Gakuen with Ito Kazue. She also gained fame when she made her theatrical debut in the movie Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo in 1983. The movie's theme song and her third single, Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo, sold over five million copies. After releasing that single, Harada released "Aijou Monogatari" and "Tengoku ni Ichiban Chikai Shima", which were both hit singles for her.
