Information

Jounouchi Sanae began being involved in music when she learned to play the shamisen when she was a kid. In middle school, Jounouchi participated in the TV Tokyo's Zennihon Enka Senshuken Ouboshita contest but didn't get a break into the music business until she won an audition on the show Yuuyake Nyan Nyan to joined Onyanko Club in 1985.

A year after joining Onyanko Club, she released her first solo single, "Ajisaibashi", in 1986. The single broke the record to be the first enka single to reached #1 on the Oricon charts. After the breakup of Onyanko Club, she became a popular personality on many of the radio stations and actress in the early 90s.

In 2004, she married Fuji Television planning manager and Yuuyake Nyan Nyan director Kimura Tadahiro.
