"My Generation / Understand" is the 9th single released by YUI. My Generation was used as the theme song for the dorama "Seito Shokun!". Understand was used as the theme song for the movie "Sidecar ni Inu". Although it is a double A-side single, Understand is treated as a B-side. The single did not feature an Instrumental version of the song, it was not included on YUI's album I LOVED YESTERDAY, and it was put on her album MY SHORT STORIES, which is a compilation of B-sides. It reached the 1st position, charted for fourteen weeks and sold 135,093 copies.
