Shimazu Kuuko (清水クーコ) was a Japanese talento.

Information

Shimazu Kuuko first got her start in show business in 1970 when she formed the chorus idol group The Chou à la Crème with Koyama Akemi, Horn Yuki. and Kitahara Yuki. The group released three singles before breaking up in 1973. In 1974, Shimizu went onto form the unit Kuuko to Angels. The unit only released one single, entitled "Ai no Tokimeki".

In 1976, Shimazu married musician Shimizu Kuniaki. However, they divorced six years later with no children. After the divorced, she moved to England in 1988.

Shimazu Kuuko passed away from cervical cancer on March 27, 1991 at the age 38. Her ex-husband attended the service.
