Information

Misako was discovered in front of the Kyoto train station while she was enrolled at Isetan University. She was chosen as "Miss Young Magazine" for Miss Magazine 2002, and the following year she was awarded the Weekly Playboy Sixth Trading Card Newcomer Grand Prix Award. Shortly after her debut she was signed to e-nice label on Tokuma Japan but to date has only released one single. After making appearances in several commercials, Misako became the center of attention and is currently one of the most popular gravure idols. One of these commercials was for Suntory Beer; Misako was made the campaign girl for the company in 2004. She was also the campaign girl for Aiful until being replaced by fellow gravure idol and friend Kumada Yoko.

Misako made her acting debut in October 2005 with the drama Jukunen Rikon (she had been in another drama in months previously, but it was a very minor part). She has since gone on to participate in several other dramas, including Rocket Boys and Kemonomichi.

Misako was given the 43rd Golden Arrow Graph Prize in March 2006, succeeding Iwasa Mayuko (also a Miss Magazine winner) from the previous year.
