4-STiCKS
4-STiCKS was a Japanese rock band from 1991 to 2001. They were known as BOICE from 1991 to 1995 and boice from 2000 to 2001.

Information
The band first formed with Minamino Shingo, Takada Kashu, and Konishi Takashi at Ikuno Junior High School. During high school, they named their band "BOICE" and went to Tokyo to begin their careers. The band began their activities in the spring of 1991 at Shinjuku LOFT where Minamino and Takada worked part time.
The band enjoyed their first live a year later on May 16, 1992. During the same time, the band held auditions for a bassist. The winner of the audition was Kawase Shin. However, Kawase only lasted for a couple of months as he left the group due to different music tastes. Drummer Konishi also left for the same reason, leaving BOICE as a two member group. They ask bassist Hirata Hironobu and drummer Takahashi Hiroshi to be temporary members as the band continued to play lives in Shinjuku. Sometime after, former THE VALENTZ members Okamine Kojo and Sakamaki Akira joined the band.
In 1993, BOICE performed at their own sponsored event "NEW ROMANTIC NITE". This live attracted more fans for the band, causing BOICE to start their own fan club soon after the event. The following year, BOICE performed a one-man live at Shinjuku LOFT on July 7th, 1994. Three months later, they released their first indies single CD and went on their first tour, playing in various venues in Tokyo and Nagoya.
On August 5th, 1995, during the live event "SATURDAY NIGHT R&R SHOW", the band announced that they would be changing their name from BOICE to 4-STiCKS. Then, less a year later, they band released their first major single, entitled "I wish you" under the label EPIC Records. THe band released another single and an album before the year was over.
However, the band announced suddenly that they would stop acitvities in 1997. The band re-opened activities three years later in 2000 under the name boice. The band broke up a year later as the members went on to pursue their own solo careers.
