Anison (アニソン), or Anisong, stands for anime song. An anison singer/band is a singer or band who has most of their songs used for animes or 2D games (such as RPG, visual novel or eroge game...). There are some anison artists who started their career as doujin artists before going major. Since 2005, there is a special live event called Animelo Summer Live for them to gather and perform. Lantis and 5pb. Records are special labels who host most of anison artists nowadays. Notable anison artists are JAM Project, ALI PROJECT, angela, and Ishikawa Chiaki.
