In 1980, she married rock singer Kuwana Masahiro for four years. She took a break from singing to take care her first born son, Myuuji, whom was born in 1981. But a year later, she returned to show business with the Yamaguchi Momoe penned hit, "La Season". She also released the hit song "Roppongi Shinjuku" two years later in 1984 after her divorce from her husband. Since it's release, "Roppongi Shinjuku" has become a popular song to performance and many other artist release covers of the song.

Ann Lewis would later scale back her music career when she was diagnosed with panic disorder in 1995. But ten years later, she came back yet again and appear on commercials and television shows.
