Ayabie or 彩冷える (was written as アヤビエ before Ryohei's departure) is a major visual-kei band signed to Tokuma Japan Communications. Since the release of the mini album Rikkaboshi, the band has toned down the visual-ness to a more mainstream look. Ayabie's musical style consists of a wide variety of sounds and moods; ranging from ballads to catchy and upbeat, and to heavy and hard-edged punk/rock songs.

Biography

Ayabie was formed in the early spring of 2004 by ex-Hinawana members Ryohei, Takehito, and Intetsu with Aoi (ex-MASK, ex-Cynical Biscuit). The group started with only support drummers, until Kenzo joined in 2005. The newest member to the band is Yumehito (ex-Soroban), a support guitarist who filled in after Ryohei's leave.

On May 8th, 2004, Ayabie held their first free live at the Takadanobaba AREA. Their first single, Heien No Ato, Ame, was distributed at this live. Following this release was their next single, Romancer.

In the summer of 2006, Ryohei left the band permanently, due to his disagreement of the band's future. After his departure, he started his own new band, Megamasso.
