BREAK OUT! is the 29th single released by Tohoshinki. It was released in three versions: a CD+DVD edition and a CD only edition. The first press of the CD+DVD and CD only editions came with one of six jacket-sized cards and the first press of the CD only edition came with a 12-page booklet. The title track was used as theme song for the drama Tomehane! Suzuri Koukou Shodoubu.
Tohoshinki broke Elton John's record for the highest first week sales by a foreign artist, which lasted for twelve years and four months. John's single "Candle in the Wind 1997" sold 184,000 copies, while "BREAK OUT!" sold 255,917 copies. Additionally, Tohoshinki became the first foreign artist to pass the 200,000 mark in first week sales.
In Korea, the single reached #15 on the 2010 Gaon Overseas chart with 7,817 copies sold.
