"CUTIE CINEMA REPLAY" is capsule's second album, and their first to feature a new style of sound for the group. The album has a range of different styles, from bossanova to French pop, but it is often classified as "cute lounge music". Nakata Yasutaka himself directed the art production and design of the album.
The album is also known for nearly every track having a featuring artist; capsule themselves approached each artist about participating.
This album is also capsule's first on Yamaha sub-label contemode.
