DaizyStripper is a five member Japanese pop-rock band in the visual-kei scene. The group formed in March of 2007 and are an indies band signed with the label Marvelous AQL. DaizyStripper has an alter-ego band with a different sound called Frantic EMIRY; the members adopt different names and visuals. Frantic EMIRY released their debut single "World End" on March 3rd, 2010 alongside DaizyStripper's fifth single "Harumeku Bokura".

2007-2008

DaizyStripper was founded in March of 2007 with the line-up of: Yugiri (ex-Altema) on vocals, Mayu (ex-Clavier) on guitar, Nao (ex-TRiCK) on guitar, Rei (ex-Clavier) on bass, and Kazami (ex-Clavier) on drums. They would spend three months writing songs and rehearsing, and on June 5th the band had their demonstration live at Takadanobaba AREA. That live was the 10th anniversary of the live house and was titled "HYSTERIC MEDIA ZONE".

Their debut live was on June 18th at Shibuya O-WEST. This led into a string of four lives, starting on June 24th at LIQUID ROOM ebisu and ending on July 16th at Takadanobaba AREA. On August 2nd DaizyStripper was one of many bands performing in the "SCUBER DIVE ~Shibuya ga Taihen~" mega-event, they played at Shibuya O-Crest. A little more than two weeks later, on the 18th, the group participted in Guy's Family's sponsored event "Guy's Party Vol.3" at LIQUID ROOM ebisu.

On August 23rd the group held their first sponsored event called "SakuranStrip" at Takadanobaba AREA. At this live they distributed their one and only self-titled demo CD. The two track demo contained: "Dandelion", which was re-recorded and used as their debut single and "BLACK DROPPer", which was later re-recorded and placed on their first debut album BIRTH. "DaizyStripper" was limited to the number of customers that day.

In September the band was a part of two events and they themselves had two lives. The first one was a Teddy sponsored event titled "Happy Kuma Vacation Vol.2 ~903 Tanjou Matsuri.~" on the 3rd at HOLIDAY NAGOYA, and the second was the "Yuurakuchou Ongakushitsu ~Visual Shouka Vol.2~" event on the 9th at Image Studios in the B2F at Nippon Housou. The two lives were at HOLIDAY SHINJUKU on the 26th and at Takadanobaba AREA on the 29th.

The months of October and November consisted of fives events, four that were band-sponsored in October and one in November. The band sposnored ones began on the 7th at HOLIDAY SHINJUKU for one of gechena's "Manhole Circus Vol.4 ~2DAYS~" and concluded on the 18th at Esaka MUSE for Viored's "Light wraps viored scene.". The other two inbetween were another one of Viored's "Light wraps viored scene.", this time at Takadanobaba AREA on the 10th, and Billy's "Tsukihanashi -Integral Bye Perfect-" at Harajuku ASTRO HALL on the 18th. The lone event in November was on the 7th at Shibuya BOXX, it was presented by Like an Edison and called "Aki no Shuukaku".

The last remaining activities of the year were five different events. The first two of those took place at Takadanobaba AREA, two days apart. Number one was Rk presents35 "TRUE roMONTH3" on the 7th and number two was the PS COMPANY organised "Chichuu Roukaku-Sono 67" on the 9th. Before double performances on December 31st, DaizyStripper was in the "Monstars★much -Holy Day-" event presented by Plug on the 23rd at HOLIDAY SHINJUKU. The aforementioned two events were at Yokohama Akarenga Souko 1-goukan 3F Hall and Takadanoababa AREA for the "stylish wave COUNT DOWN '07-'08" event and the "FINAL 2007" event respectively.

2008 started with two events in January, the first of which was the "J SHOCK '08 New Year's PARTY" on the 20th at LIQUID ROOM ebisu and the second was the Rk presents37 "Ikemen☆Paradise" on the 31st at Shibuya O-WEST. On February 13th DaizyStripper released their debut single "Dandelion". It was released in a CD+DVD only format, and allotted to 1,000 copies. This was also only available to purchase at four select Like an Edison stores and at their lives. The single reached #10 on the indies Oricon charts and has since sold out.

That day after their debut single's release the group ventured out on their first tour, a nation-wide tour titled Hatsu Nugi. It began at Harajuku ASTRO HALL and concluded on Fenruary 28th at HOLIDAY NAGOYA, altogther hitting seven stops. The tour's sold-out finale, called "CandyStrip", was held on March 8th at Takadanobaba AREA. A CELLT "C no Gekijou -Sono San-" sponsored event at Takadanobaba AREA on March 22nd bridged the end March and the beginning of April. The first activity of April was the "stylish wave '08 Haru no Arashi" event on the 5th, also at Takadanobaba AREA.

As the first press of "Dandelion" sold-out a second press was released on April 16th. It shares the same specifics as the first press. The second press was, however, available nation wide in 13 different stores that usually deals with visual-kei and oshare-kei music. The single reached #1 on the indies Oricon charts. "Dandelion" overall reached #59 on the major charts, where it charted for two weeks. Like its predecessor it has since sold out. Around this time a two consecutive month single release campaign was announced; "Hoshizora to Kimi no Te" was to be released on May 28th and "Juliette no Knife" was to be released on June 25th. Completing April was the PS COMPANY organised "Chichuu Roukaku-Sono 74" event on the 26th at Takadanobaba AREA.

May began with the group's part in hide's memorial summit concert that took place at Ajinomoto Stadium on the 3rd. Their next bout of activity were two events: "Absolute Domain -Zettai Ryouiki-" on the 10th at Nagoya E.L.L and "ON" on the 16th at HOLIDAY SHINJUKU. In the mid-to-end of May it was announced that at the behest of the band, the two proposed singles that were to be released would be cancelled and be put together, as they told a single story. The new single box would be titled "CROSS" and would be released on June 11th.

In late May DaizyStripper was a part of three "Generation's VOL.1" lives presented by Like an Edison. The dates were at/on: Nagoya HEART LAND on the 23rd, Esaka MUSE on the 24th, and Shinjuku LOFT on the 30th. Before the last date, the group was one of the entertainers in the Takuya Angel Fashion Show #09 "Visu Annite 01" at Harajuku ASTRO HALL on the 29th.

On June 6th the group had their first one-man concert called Stripper's Kingdom at Shibuya BOXX. Four days later they were a part of Ruvie's "picture's" sponsored event at Shibuya O-WEST. As previously mentioned their second and third singles, condensed into a single box titled "CROSS", was released on June 11th. It was only available to purchase through the same 13 stores that their second press of "Dandelion" was sold through. This was also a limited release having 3,000 copies. The single box reached #2 on the indies Oricon charts and has since sold out.

DaizyStripper had contributed their debut single for the compilation album CANNONBALL vol.4, which was also released on June 11th. For two days in succession they were a part of two different events, both at LIQUID ROOM ebisu. On June 15th there was the "SHOCK WAVE '08 #001" live and on the 16th there was the "UGLY CUSTOMERS SHOW". As they were one of the bands on the compilation album, the band went on the TOUR-2008 "CANNONBALL" tour. It started on June 21st at Niigata JUNK BOX and ended on July 4th at Shibuya O-EAST, hitting six stops.

On July 7th the group was one of the acts in the Visunavi orangaised "★Mixed Candies Vol.10★☆Tanabata Matsuri☆Hoshimatsuri☆" event at Takadanobaba AREA. From July 13th to the 31st, they went on the stylish wave '08 MAX tour. It started at Yokohama Arena Studio Hall and ended at Kanazawa AZ, hitting seven stops. On August 4th they were again in the "SCUBER DIVE ~Shibuya ga Taihen~" mega-event, this time they played at Shibuya O-WEST. The last activity of August was the "Kuroari to Shirozatou vol.4" event at Shibuya O-EAST on the 31st.

The only lives in September were a part of their TouNaKa (東名阪; Tokyo, Nagoya, and Osaka) based one-man concert tour called CROSS ~Gekijou Trip / Ryuusei Trip~. The performances were at/on: Nanba ROCKETS on the 4th, Nagoya HOLIDAY on the 6th, Takadanobaba AERA on the 8th, and the final was on the 9th also at Takadanobaba AREA. DaizyStripper's part in the "TRIBAL ARIVALL Vol.98" event at Shibuya O-WEST on October 12th preceded the released of their fourth single "TRUTH", which was released on the 15th. Similar to the second pressing of "Dandelion" this was only available through 16 select stores that deal in visual-kei and oshare-kei music. The single reached #1 on the indies Oricon charts.

The end of October was met with chariots' sponsored "carnage opera VOL:7" event on the 18th at OSAKA MUSE and an "Absolute -Zettai Ryouiki-" event on the 20th at Nagoya E.L.L. In the begining of November the group played in two of PS COMPANY's "Chichuu Roukaku" events; the first was on the 2rd at Mito LIGHTHOUSE and the second was on the 3rd at Kawasaki CLUB FLEEZ. Two days later at Shibuya O-WEST DaizyStripper was in the "~NEVER MIND~10th Anniversary Vol.2" event presented by music retail store Jishuban Club.

In mid November they then played in the SPEED DISK presented Shinrabanshow tour '08 for five dates, beginning at Nagoya E.L.L on the 12th and concluding at Fukuoka DRUM Be-1 on the 16th. The rest of the month consisted of an event and a live. The event was on the 18th at Shibuya O-EAST, titled "BASE L -Philosophy-" and was organised by Like an Edison. The live was at Nagoya E.L.L on the 27th.

Second pressings of their single box "CROSS" and fourth single "TRUTH" were released on December 10th. Unlike the first pressings, these are available nation-wide through stores that don't usually deal with visual-kei and oshare-kei music. "CROSS" overall reached #49 on the major Oricon charts where it charted for two weeks, while "TRUTH" overall reached #35 on the major charts where it charted for three weeks. 2008 ended with two lives, one on the 17th at Shibuya O-WEST and the other on the 31st at Yokohama Akarenga Souko 1-goukan 3F Hall.
