"Everlasting" is BoA's ninteenth Japanese single. It was used as TV Asahi's Kiseki no Tobira TV no Chikara ending theme. The single reached #4 on the Oricon weekly chart and charted for nine weeks. Because this single sold 74,744 copies in 2006, it became the #128 single of the year.

"Everlasting" is also BoA's fourth Korean single. "People Say..." was used as the theme song for the Korean dub of the animated movie Over the Hedge, which featured BoA herself as the voice of Heather.
