Hori Chiemi

Hori Chiemi (堀ちえみ) is a Japanese pop idol singer, talento, and former member of the pop unit Cutie★Mommy. Hori got her start in show business after winning the 6th Annual Hori Pro Scout Caravan in 1981. A year later, she debuted as a singer with the double A-side single "Shiokaze no Shoujo / Merci Boku". She later became an actress, starring in various television doramas such as Stewardess Monogatari. However, she retired at the peak of her idol career in 1987 and moved back to her hometown in Osaka to pursue a career in television news. Recently, she has appeared in many live performances to celebrate her twenty-fifth anniversary and to show off her new talent, tap dancing.
