Information

Ken's Bar is the first concept cover album released by Hirai Ken. It consisted a selection of songs that have been sung live by him in his concept live concert with the same name, "Ken's Bar", which is held almost every year since 1998. The album summarized the concept of the concert, which is a cover of western and oldies songs. Years later, the Blu-spec CD edition of the album was released in limited quantities to commemorate the concert's 10th anniversary, and was released simultaneously with his second concept cover album, Ken's Bar II.

The album reached #2 on the Oricon weekly charts. It became #24 Album of the Year in 2004 and was also certified Double Platinum by RIAJ for shipment nearly 500,000 copies.
