"Kogarashi ni Dakarete" is Koizumi Kyoko's 19th single. The title track was used as the theme song for the movie Boku no Onna ni Te wo Dasu na which Koizumi starred in as the character Kuroda Hitomi. The song was Koizumi's choice song for the end of the year program Kouhaku Uta Gassen for 1987. Takamizawa Toshihiko's band THE ALFEE would later self-cover the song on the single "Sapphire no Hitomi". Various other artists would later cover the song, including Hirano Aya, Katase Nana, and Ohyama Yurika.
The single reached #3 on the weekly Oricon charts and charted for 17 weeks, selling 279,000 copies. It also reached #11 on the yearly Oricon charts for 1987.
The single was re-issued in 1991 with "The Stardust Memory" as the b-side.
