Love is a Japanese pop duo signed to onenation, a sublabel under Sony Music Associated Records and managed by the agency LDH. They made their recording debut in 2008 with EXILE's song "Love Dream & Happiness" from EXILE BALLAD BEST, but it wasn't until August 2009 that they released their debut single "First Love ~Love Letter~". Love is part of EXILE member HIRO's project "Love, Dream, Happiness", the others being Dream and Happiness.

Biography

Formation of the Group

The band was formed in 2008 when former Paradise Go!! Go!! member Misaki Matsumoto met Stephanie. The two were both part of the same agency; the newly formed LDH, started by EXILE's hiro. Under the agency, they were assigned to the dance performance group, Real Force. When the unit fell apart, the two came together to for Love in 2008. By then, both members have been in the entertainment industry for over ten years.

Debut/First Album

The duo's first activity together was releasing a cover of ZONE's secret base ~Kimi ga Kureta Mono~ (secret base~君がくれたもの~) as a ringtone (as well as releasing the 1 minute 30 second preview version in a special CD attached to the August issue of Gekkan Exile magazine).

On August 26, 2009, Love released their debut single, First Love ~Love Letter~ with their cover of secret base ~Kimi ga Kureta Mono~ (secret base~君がくれたもの~) as a b-side track.

Their next single, Second Love ~Tada Hitotsu no Negai Sae~ (Second Love ~ただ一つの願いさえ~), was released on November 25, 2009. It was certified gold by the RIAJ for 100,000 full-length cellphone downloads

Following the success of their second, Love released their next single Watashi Aumono (わたしあうもの) which is their best selling single to date.

On April 14, 2010, Love released their debut album, Taisetsu na Kimochi (大切なキモチ). The album debuted at #12 on the Oricon Weekly Album charts, selling over 18,450 copies in total. To promote the album, Love embarked on a 9-date live tour titled "Love Live Tour 2010 Love Letter"

The group's songs have been popular through digital markets, with all lead tracks from their singles reaching the top 5 on the RIAJ Digital Track Chart (including Taisetsu na Kimochi(大切なキモチ) from their debut album Taisetsu na Kimochi(大切なキモチ) which was not released as a physical single).

On September 8, 2010, Love released their 4th single Kataomoi (片思い)

On October 27, 2010, Love will release their 5th single, Anata no Kotoba (あなたの言葉).
