- Information
MIROTIC is TVXQ!'s fourth Korean studio album. The album was released in four editions in total. A CD Only (A Type) and a CD+DVD (B Type), were released first in September 2008. Two months later the album was re-released as a repackage album in a new CD Only edition (C Type) including four new songs and a re-arranged track lists.
In January, 2009, due the controversy of "Jumun - MIROTIC" lyrics, a "Clean Version" (a new edition of the repackage album) was released. This version featured the "Jumun - MIROTIC (Clean Version)" song instead the regular one, as well an acoustic version of the song.
The title of the album, MIROTIC, is a new term created by Hero combining the Korean word "Miro" (Maze) and the English suffix "-Tic".
The album was a major commercial breakthrough and the group most critically successful album to date. Only three days after it's release, MIROTIC became the best selling album in Korea in 2008 and setting the record for highest one-week sales on the Hanteo charts with sales of 110,000 copies, debuting on top of the charts. Ultimately, the album sold around 541,000 copies. It is currently the best-selling album among second-generation idols, earning the name "Album of the Decade".
