Naku na Okamechan is Karen's first cd single. It is considered her first (and only) indies single, as it was not published on any major record label.
Karen was given a challenge to be able to become an artist under NICE GIRL PROJECT. She was to sell 1,000 copies of her indies single (and lose weight so she weighed 50 kg) in order to make her major debut.
Karen printed many copies of the single herself by hand. Each of the copies sold during June and July 2009 are numbered and comes with an autograph from Karen.
The single sold 1,024 copies in 18 days, ending up selling a total of 1,370 copies.
