"Hit the Sands" is the first international digital single released by FTISLAND which was released on iTunes worldwide, except in Japan. A Japanese version of the song, titled "NEVERLAND", was released one day later as their 10th Japanese single (seventh under Warner Music Japan). The Japanese single was released in three versions, a limited CD+DVD edition, a regular CD Only and a CD+DVD edition only sold on Lawson stores. Lawson edition DVD features live footage from their MUSIC FOR ALL, ALL FOR ONE live tour at Kokuritsu Yoyogi Kyougijou on December 25, 2011. The title track was used as opening theme song for the anime Ozuma. "Hit the Sands" was later included as a bonus track on the regular edition of the Japanese album 20[twenty].
