Noise is a style of music (however many claim that it isn't, in fact, music at all) that combines performance art (espcecially in the live shows, most notably those of Hanatarash, which were particularly violent with Yamataka Eye (also of Boredoms and many other projects) thrashing about the stage and going to the hospital almost nightly for injuries suffered while on stage) with experiments in sound and putting together any instrument (instrument meaning just about anything, as noted in this quote by Yamamoto Seiichi of Boredoms: "Sound is everywhere. It is anything. And whatever we think is interesting, sound, we begin to collage it together.... But don't take so seriously what we`re doing."), and creating any type of noise.
