History

Nomura Minami participated in the 2010 "Morning Musume 9th Generation" audition, but failed to pass. She was later introduced as a member of Hello! Pro Kenshuusei at the June 17, 2012 "Hello Pro Kenshuusei Happyoukai 2012 ~6gatsu no Nama Tamago Show!~" concert, and went on to participate in the "Morning Musume 11th Generation Suppin Utahime" audition the same year.

On January 2, 2015 she was revealed to be part of a new eight member group, later named Kobushi Factory. The unit consisted entirely of trainees from Hello! Pro Kenshuusei, including Fujii Rio, Hirose Ayaka, Ogawa Rena, Hamaura Ayano, Taguchi Natsumi, Wada Sakurako, and Inoue Rei.

On January 22, 2018 Nomura revealed that she would begin attending an all-female university in Spring later that year, stating that she aimed to successfully balance work and school in a similar fashion to ANGERME and Hello! Project leader Wada Ayaka.
