Ojamajo Doremi

Ojamajo Doremi (おジャ魔女どれみ) was a Japanese anime (and lesser-known manga) that ran for four seasons from 1999-2004. There was also a musical.

Story

The series is divided into four seasons, with an OVA series as a side-story to the third season.

Ojamajo Doremi (1999–2000)

The first series is Ojamajo Doremi (おジャ魔女どれみ). Harukaze Doremi is an elementary school student who comes across an old shop selling magical goods. When she reveals the shop owner, Majorika, to be a witch, Majorika transforms into a witch frog and Doremi must become a witch apprentice to change her back. Other witch apprentices are her best friends, Fujiwara Hazuki, Senoo Aiko, and Segawa Onpu, and her younger sister Pop. The road to becoming witches is full of adventures for everyone!

Ojamajo Doremi # (2000–2001)

The second series is Ojamajo Doremi # (おジャ魔女どれみ#; pronounced "Ojamajo Doremi Sharp"). When Doremi and the girls sneak into the Witch World, they accidentally witness the birth of a baby from the Witch Queen's Rose. They are told by the Queen that they must raise the baby for one whole year, and if they are successful, they may become witches again, and so they are witch apprentices once more. But taking care of this baby, Hana-chan, is not their only challenge. Rivaling wizards from the Wizard World intend to kidnap Hana-chan as revenge against the Witch World.

Mo~tto! Ojamajo Doremi (2001–2002)

The third series is Mo~tto! Ojamajo Doremi (も~っと! おジャ魔女どれみ; More! Ojamajo Doremi). When there is conflict among the Queen and the Witch Senate, it is then decided that the girls must pass a series of tests given by the Witch Senate if they are to prove their worth of being witches and mothers to Hana-chan. Helping them out with their tests (making sweets) is Asuka Momoko, an English-speaking witch apprentice who has moved to Japan from the United States.

Ojamajo Doremi Dokka~n! (2002–2003)

The fourth series is Ojamajo Doremi Dokka~n! (おジャ魔女どれみドッカ~ン!; Ojamajo Doremi Kaboom!). Hana-chan transforms from a baby into an 11-year old girl so that she can be with her mothers, Doremi and the girls. Everyone is given a chance to become witch apprentices, and the MAHO Dou becomes a gift shop. At the same time, they must find a away to undo the curses brought upon the Human World by the Witch World's former queen.

Ojamajo Doremi Na.i.sho (2004)

The fifth series is Ojamajo Doremi Na.i.sho (おジャ魔女どれみナ・イ・ショ; Ojamajo Doremi Secret). This thirteen-episode series was originally intended to be an OVA (original video animation) series, but was aired on television instead. As a side story to Mo~tto! Ojamajo Doremi, each episode tells of a character's secret or how he or she spends the day.
