PINK CRES. is a Japanese pop girl group under Up Front Create.

Information
PINK CRES. was formed in April 2016 after agency Up Front and former Berryz Kobo member Natsuyaki Miyabi held the two "2015 Natsuyaki Miyabi New Group Auditions" to discover girls to join her in a new musical unit. The first audition began on July 1, 2015, but in late September it was announced that no winners had been chosen and the audition would be held again immediately, still open to females between the ages of 16 and 22 years.
The two finalists of the second audition, Kobayashi Hikaru and Nihei Yuuka, were first revealed in March 2016 through audition training camp footage showing vocal and dance lessons. The footage was aired between three episodes of the company's music-focused webshow "Upcoming", and on April 1, 2016 during the third segment Miyabi gave both contestants the news of their passing the audition.
The group held it's first fan club event and live performance at Tokyo FM Hall on August 6, 2016, where they also revealed two original songs and the group's official image color - pink. It had been announced several months earlier in May of 2016 that the official name of the group would be disclosed on August 25, 2016 at the "Buono! Festa 2016" Budokan concert, where they would also perform.
On the day of the reveal the group explained the meaning behind the name PINK CRES., stating that it was chosen because of their pink image color and their wish to grow as a unit. Their desire is represented by a shortened form of the musical term crescendo, defined as the moment in a passage of music where the volume progressively increases.
