PV stands for Promotional Video, more commonly known outside of Japan as a music video. Some J-Pop PVs have alternate versions such a "Dance Version" showing the artist dancing or a "Close-up Version" focusing on their face(s). Occasionally a variant of the original PV, termed simply "Another Version", is also released. In the 2010s, the term changed for MV (Music Video).
