Rottyful Sky (로티플스카이) also known as Kim Ha Neul or Haneul originally debuted in 2001 at the age of 13-14 under the name of Haneul with her song "Gotta Be Kidding" under album Voice of Purity and received love for her cute looks and unique performance. At the time, she was under the spotlight for being one of the few young, rising female solo artists along with BoA, Joanne, Dana and others.


In 2006, it was announced she would join the Hip-Hop/Dance group Roo'ra, although she withdrawn in 2007 before releasing any new material. The announcement was made at the same time as Roo'ra's announced their comeback with a best album, hence Hanul is credited on the album although she didn't participate on it. Three years later she joined the unit MADmoiselle. The unit only released one digital single before disband.


In 2010, with the support of Ryu Shi Won’s management, she changed her stage name to Rottyful Sky and transformed into a singer/songwriter. On 21 July 2010, she launched her comeback digital single "No Way" with a Sony Korea's 3D music video, as part of Sony-sponsored project, helmed by female director Lee Sa-gang who also attended the day's showcase. The showcase was held at multiplex Coex Megabox in Seoul, South Korea.


In 2011, Rottyful Sky also participated in a couple of drama OSTs and received attention for her song "Blue Bird" of Scent of a Woman OST. She also casting as a part of the annoying niece of Byun Jang Soo, a stock investor in tvN mini-drama call Manny. After 1 year later, 12 February 2013, she release another digital single "Get Away"


Rottyful Sky was diagnosed with having a brain tumor in year 2012. According to sources, she stopped all activities to battling against her illness and in 1 July 2013, she was seen attending Ki Sung Yueng and Han Hye Jin‘s wedding, looking like she gained some weight. It turns out, she gained weight from the medication and treatment for her tumor. On 17 September 2013, Rottyful Sky visited the hospital for not feeling well. She was given basic treatment and returned home as always. While she was resting, she lost consciousness and was brought to the hospital on 18 September 2013. During her transfer to the hospital, she stopped breathing and was given CPR two times. She was unable to gain consciousness. She was admitted into the intensive care unit for about 20 days in a brain-dead state and was given tests and treatment. She had drawn her last breath on 8 October 2013 at 4PM (KST) at The Catholic University of Korea Seoul St. Mary′s Hospital. She was 25 years old. The statement continued, "Her family stated that a brain tumor wasn't the cause of death like the media has been reporting. Although the final cause of her death is still unknown, the doctors declared her brain dead."
