- Originally a seventh generation member of AKB48 Kenkyuusei, she was promoted to Team B on May 21, 2010, then transferred to Team A during the AKB48 team shuffle in 2012. During the AKB48 Group Grand Shuffle in 2014, she was transferred to SKE48 Team E and became a full-time member.
- She was a finalist for the Morning Musume Happy 8ki Audition in 2006.
- Her nickname "Suumelo" comes from her liking the Sanrio character My Melody, who is nicknamed "Mymelo".
