Information

Seiko・Celebration is Matsuda Seiko's 20th best album. It compiles 10 songs (and their instrumentals) that fit into a "wedding image". The release of the album was subject of controversy since, after Matsuda's divorce of Kanda Masaki on January 10, 1997, she married with her daughter's dentist, Hatano Hiroyuki, and the wedding was celebrated only a couple of months before the album's release (May 25, 1998). It was the fourth best album released by Sony Music Japan after Matsuda moved to Universal Music Japan. An edited version of the "Taisetsu na Anata" single photoshoot was used for the cover art. After the release of Seiko・Celebration, two more best albums were released, Seiko '96-'98 and Ballad ~20th Anniversary, without any new releases in between except for the single "Touch the LOVE".
