Shishido Rumi

Shishido Rumi (宍戸留美) is a Japanese actress, voice actress, singer, and talento.

Information

Shishido got her start in 1989 after winning Lotte's 4th Annual CM Idol wa Kimi da!. A year after, she debuted as a singer with the single "Cosmic Rendezvous". She would later join the Christmas-themed group Nanatsuboshi in late 1990.

In 1993, her agency, Liberty House, canceled her contract and she was known until 2002 as a Free Idol. But in 2002, being a free idol didn't last long when she signed a contract for agency Aoni Production. During this time, she would also debut as a seiyuu, premiering in her first role in the OVA KO Beast. She was made famous by her role of Segawa Onbu in the anime series Ojamajou Doremi from 1999 to 2004. She also used the alias Sakurada Mikako for her anime roles including in the anime Gokinjo Monogatari.

In recent years, she has become an illustrator, a camerawomen, and becoming an actress for movies like NANA.
