Salyu promoting the album

s(o)un(d)beams is the fourth album released by Salyu and first under the name salyu x salyu. This is a collaboration album between Salyu and CORNELIUS. The album is produced by CORNELIUS and written by Sakamoto Shintaro, Ito Seiko, and Nanao Tavito. The name "salyu x salyu" comes from Salyu’s idea of using her voice as an instrument that creates a variety of sublimating sounds.

The album was originally scheduled to be released on March 23, but it was postponed until April 13 due to the 2011 Tohoku earthquake and tsunami. The album reached #12 on the Oricon charts and charted for five weeks.
