s(o)un(d)beams is the fourth album released by Salyu and first under the name salyu x salyu. This is a collaboration album between Salyu and CORNELIUS. The album is produced by CORNELIUS and written by Sakamoto Shintaro, Ito Seiko, and Nanao Tabito. The name "salyu x salyu" comes from Salyu’s idea of using her voice as an instrument that creates a variety of sublimating sounds.
The album was originally scheduled to be released on March 23, but it was postponed until April 13 due to the 2011 Tohoku earthquake and tsunami.
