Profile

Information

Takayama Minami started her solo career in early 1990s. In 1992 she released her album Endless Communication. Thanks to this album, she met Nagano Shiina, who wrote the lyrics. They later formed the band ES CONNEXION together with Abukawa Osamu, though they later disbanded, after releasing an album in 1994, due to Abukawa leaving the group. Takayama then formed the group TWO-MIX, joined by Nagano. The band got quite popular in the 90s.

Meanwhile, through her job as a seiyuu, Takayama got to meet Aoyama Gosho, creator of Meitantei Conan, as she was voicing the main character in the anime. In March 2005 she proposed to him and they got married on May 5th, the same day as her birthday. In December 2007, though, they signed up a divorce.
