Indie?

I've seen this all over, but how is C.L.L. Crystal Lover Light indie? The majority of the songs from the album sound like R&B and there a few acoustic type tracks, but I wouldn't call it indie. I feel like someone probably described the album as "indie" and then it spread. What do you guys think? ~ Themonkeyofdoom 01:45, 16 April 2010 (CDT)

I'm not sure. I've just been paraphrasing from Wiki and what I can manage to read from JWiki so I've no other info on it. Also I haven't even listened to the entire album yet I've only heard a few of the songs. But if you're right I assume the image change would still apply since her later albums incorporated a more urban and pop theme rather then the R&B and acoustic you've mentioned right, so should I just take out the indie portion? BTW I know there's a lot of grammar errors in the article lol I plan on fixing those later :D, though I'm sure there will still be tons of them even after XD (C in English -_-.. All 2 years)--Krazoom 02:20, 16 April 2010 (CDT)
I haven't listened to the album, but Shadows of Desire definitely sounds like indie pop, although TEENAGE UNIVERSE ~Chewing Gum Baby sound completely R&B XD. And I ear a mix between both in Eternal Memories. --Pizca 08:11, 16 April 2010 (CDT)
I downloaded the album last night before I posted this to make sure I wasn't crazy xD; I agree that "Shadows of Desire" isn't R&B, but would not call it indie pop. When I hear term indie music things like this pop into my head. Even more than the sound it also has a lot to do with the whole DIY music scene, which Kuri doesn't fit into. Also, I don't think she "pop side" and an "indie side" as much as she just a change her sound to more urban pop to help further sales. ~ Themonkeyofdoom 10:10, 16 April 2010 (CDT)
Yeah, I agree. I was talking about a "commercial indie pop" (sometimes Kaela reminds me of that) that it may appear as a random fact on the page, but definitely not as her main style in that time.--Pizca 10:44, 16 April 2010 (CDT)
So what should be done? Should I take out the image change references as a whole or just the indie mentions? There's also an indie mention in the C.L.L. Crystal Lover Light page that someone made so I'll have to reword that also if so --Krazoom 19:55, 16 April 2010 (CDT)
For now, just take out the info on indie. There was a style change, but I'm trying to figure how to word it. To me, I feel like she's move more into pop and urban music, while the eariler releases were more R&B orientated. I'm trying to think of an R&B song from after the change and I can't really think of one =/ ~ Themonkeyofdoom 02:23, 17 April 2010 (CDT)
Ok gotcha, but does that mean the R&B categories should be removed from the later releases? Btw I think I need a favor here.. A while back I added a delete tag to a page that probably shouldn't have been deleted in the first place (though sitll not sure). It's the I LIKE IT! / REEEWIND! page. I tried to move it out of there but it wouldn't let me. I made a new page but stupidly made the "It" into "it". Is it possible to merge the two pages? I was trying to undo my mistakes but it's all just going wrong XD--Krazoom 02:38, 17 April 2010 (CDT)
Problem fixed :D! Just leave the R&B tags for now. The things with artists is there general categories we give them usually don't carry over to all of their releases, but people put them on there anyways. Like LISA's earlier releases and "Babylon no Kiseki", they have more of a pop-rock sound, but they had R&B and Urban cates on them since she does. ~ Themonkeyofdoom 02:50, 17 April 2010 (CDT)
