The future of despair is the second mini-album released by ClearVeil. This was released in two different versions: a CD+DVD edition (Type A) and a CD only edition (Type B). This is their first release to feature a PV, and was released one year after their first mini-album. Type A comes with a DVD of their debut single's PV, while Type B comes with a bonus track. This is also a limited release having only 3,000 copies.
