She had modeled in nude and had released various photobooks, all of which are considered collector's items nowadays. In 1994, she had appeared nude in movies and in 1996, with a modeling contract with Hang Ten and Gucci she had stopped her nude activities.
Hsu started her solo music career in 1995 with the release of her single, releasing her album Tiānshǐ Xiǎng the following year which was also released in Japan and Korea.
