YVE

YVE is a Japanese singer-songwriter. She got her st start in the music industry as Nejiki Mami when won the grand prix for the 7th Annual All Japan National Beautiful Girl Contest in 1998 along with three other girls. In 1999, Nejiki and the three other girls formed the J-Pop group Z-1 and debuted their first single, "Vibe!", July of that year.

After Z-1 broke up, Nejiki went on to start her own solo career under the label Tokuma Japan Communications and debuted her first single, "Kitaguni Ikide ~Missing Way~", a cover of a famous hit by Shuri Eiko. But after the release of her third single, Nejiki decided to leave Tokuma Japan and go independent.

In 2007, Nejiki Mami signed a contract with Collab Star Promotions and released her first album before the year was up under the new name, YVE. Then two years later, she joined the band JUNK 4 ELEMENTS.
