"half of me" is the 45th single released by Hirai Ken. It was released in two versions: a limited CD+DVD edition and a regular CD edition. The title track was used as theme song for Fuji TV drama Tasogare Ryūsei-gun ～Jinsei Orikaeshi, Koi wo Shita～. This is the first time that the song is being released, even though he has been singing it live throughout his concerts for nearly 9 years since July 2009 where he sang the song for the first time at his concept acoustic LIVE "Ken's Bar". Furthermore, the song is a continuation of his 2000 song "even if", telling the future of the couple depicted in the song. "HOLIC" was used as J-WAVE Radio 30th anniversary song.
The title track was certified Gold by RIAJ for 100,000 downloads.
