"Amagasa / Akireru Kurai Bokura wa Negaou" is TOKIO's 39th single, and their first under the J Storm label. "Amagasa" was written and composed by rock artist Shiina Ringo and arranged by her band, Tokyo Jihen. The song has a "swinging pop sound" and was used as the theme song for the dorama Yasuko to Kenji, starring TOKIO member Matsuoka Masahiro. The other a-side track, "Akireru Kurai Bokura wa Negao", is a ballad which serves as the ending theme to the drama Mentra G. The first b-side "Kachuu no Otoko" was similarly written (words and music) by Shiina Ringo, and again arranged by Tokyo Jihen. It was released in three versions: two limited CD+DVD editions and a regular CD only edition.
