"Aozora no Namida" is the third single released by Takahashi Hitomi. This single was released in two formats: a CD-only version and a CD+DVD version. This is Takahashi's first single to be released in multiple formats. The title song was used as the first opening for the anime BLOOD+. The original release date for the single was October 12th, but was pushed back for unknown reasons. A re-arranged version of the song was later released on her eighth single "Tsuyoku Nare". The single reached #8 on the weekly Oricon chart, and stayed on the chart for a total of twelve weeks. The title song has been certified Gold by the RIAJ for Chaku Uta Full downloads of over 100,000.
