area62 is Matsuda Seiko's 36th album and fourth English album. Although a couple of weeks before area62 release Matsuda had already released the single "Suteki na Ashita" as her comeback to Sony Music Japan, this album was released under Hip-O Records in USA and under FLORA RECORDS in Japan. The album was only sold at HMV or Tower Records stores in USA and at Matsuda's live concerts in Japan.
