"BESIDE YOU" is the 15th single released by Shiina Hekiru. This is single marked a lot of first for Shiina such as: first single to be released in a 12cm format, first single not to include a b-side, and her first single working under her new producer, Akashi Masao. This is the lead-in single to Shiina's seventh album, "RIGHT BESIDE YOU".
The single reached #29 on the Oricon chart, and stayed on the chart for a total of two weeks. This single sold a total of 25,470 copies.

Music Video
The music video for "BESIDE YOU" starts off with a clock couting down. The video takes place in a technology advanced future, where the land has become dry and bare. A hologram of Shiina appears in a desert wasteland. Shiina later than appears on a series of television moniters. The video ends with a plant sprouting from the ground.
The video is found on the "Hequil IV" DVD as chapter #3.
