"Bokutachi no Yukue" is the debut single released by Takahashi Hitomi. The title song was used as the opening theme song to the anime Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny. The b-side song "Kaze no Kirin" is about a kirin, which is a mystical Chinese creature whose appearance signifies a good omen. The single was an instant hit for Takahashi, charting at #1 during its first week on the Oricon chart. This made her the second solo female artist to achieve this (right after Uchida Yuki), and the third solo artist overall to achieve this. The single stayed on the chart for a total of 14 weeks, selling 129,031 copies, making it the 75th best selling single of 2005. The title song has been certified Gold by the RIAJ for Chaku Uta Full downloads of over 100,000.
