"Cassis" is the debut major single and ninth overall single released by Gazette. It is their first release with KING RECORDS and their last for them to use the name Gazette, changing it to the GazettE for the release of their second album NIL two months later. This was first released in two different versions: a limited CD+DVD edition (Type A) that comes with a DVD of the title song's PV, and a limited CD only edition (Type B) that comes with the B-side "Bite to All". A month later a regular edition was released, only coming with the title song and the B-side "Toguro".
The single reached #6 on the Oricon charts, where it charted for 10 weeks.
