"Dakishimete" is the eleventh single released by Shiina Hekiru. The first press edition comes with an all color jacket and transparent tray. The lyrics to the title track were written by Shiina, making it the first a-side written by her. She also and she requested DAITA to write the music for the track, whom previously played guitars on "Graduater". Both tracks have been described as up-beat rock tracks. This is the first single leading up to Shiina's sixth album, "Face to Face". The single was re-released on 2004.09.29, in a 12cm CD format.
The single reached #22 on the Oricon chart and stayed on the chart for a total of five weeks. The re-release of the single failed to chart on the Oricon. In all, this single has sold a total of 30,298 copies.
