"Kaitou Ruby" is Koizumi Kyoko's 24th single. The title song was used as the theme song for the movie Kaitou Ruby which Koizumi starred as the character Kato Rumi. The single reached #2 on the weekly Oricon charts and charted for 12 weeks, selling 134,000 copies. It also reached #96 on the yearly Oricon charts for 1988.
The single was also re-issued in 1991 with "Kiss wo Tomenaide" as the b-side.
