Information

Missing Link is the debut album released by Penicillin. This is their one and only album to use the name Penicillin, as they capitalised it after signing with PIONEER LDC. It was released through the indies label ECTOPLASM RECORDS, a sublabel of Tears Music. This was first released on December 4th, 1994 in two different CD only versions: a regular edition that comes with a picture labeled disc and the bonus song "Imitation Queen", and a limited digipak edition. As a part of Tears Music's "INDIES SUMMIT HISTORY" series of 80's~90's visual-kei, the album was re-released on September 25th, 2002 with renewed artwork and a lowered price.

In both 1995 and 1996, Missing Link was released through major label Tokuma Japan Communications. All of the tracks have been remastered, with the songs "Miss Cool" and "Rasen Kaidan" receiving new mixes. Also included is their first other single "In the Kingdom of the Moonlight" and the instrumentals of the songs with new mixes. The first pressings of the 1995 press comes housed in digipak casing, while the normal press comes with a picture labeled disc. The album reached #46 on the Oricon charts, where it charted for two weeks.
