Maki Miyamae joined as a first generation member of the Fuji TV television show Paradise GoGo!!'s girl group Otomejyuku in 1989. That same year, she also became a member of the idol group CoCo until 1994. She was known by the fans by her trademark short hair. To this day, she still keeps in touch with the other CoCo members, even posting replies to Miura Rieko's blog and releasing a single with Haneda Erika under the duo name Psychogalvanometer. After CoCo disbanded, Miyamae went on to published books, performed lives, and starred in various television programs. In 2004, Miyamae announced that she would take a break from the world of show business.
