Information

never+land is the debut studio album released by misono. The album was released in three different versions: a limited CD+PB edition, a CD+DVD edition, and a CD only edition. The limited edition comes with a 32-page booklet containing photos and a long interview.

Much like misono's other solo releases this album is based around a fairy tale. The theme for the album is Peter Pan's Neverland. There were five singles leading up the the albums release which all contained fairy tale themes: Snow White, Cinderella, The Ugly Duckling, The Little Match Girl, and Peter Pan. In terms of sound the album is mixture of pop rock. For the majority of the release misono worked with avex trax producers. There are a couple songs which misono was able to work with well-known rock musicians: Higurashi Aiha (Seagull Screaming Kiss Her Kiss Her) and shogo.k (175R). The statement from the press release credited TAKUYA (JUDY AND MARY), but this track never made it to the album[1]. A collaboration between the two would later appear on her sophomore album, say. The song "Suna no Shiro no Mermaid ~Riku to Umi no Sekai~" was used as a radio single to promote the album.

The album reached #12 on the weekly Oricon chart and it stayed on the chart for a total of three weeks.
