Rie fu is the self-titled debut album released by Rie fu. Rie really took an active role in the album's writing and recording. She wrote the lyrics and music for the songs, as well as playing piano for the songs and working on some of the arrangements. The first press edition of the album came with a promotional sticker and a pink album sleeve[1]. The album is written with a CD-extra feature, which contains a promo clip and TV spot for "Life is Like a Boat". The album reached #12 on the Oricon weekly chart, and stayed on the charts for 12 weeks[2], selling 60,483 copies.
