Shinshi Doumei Cross
Shinshi Doumei Cross (紳士同盟†) or The Gentlemen's Alliance Cross is a shojo manga created by Tanemura Arina. The series made it's debut in the September 2004 issue of Shueisha's Ribon magazine. The series ran for a total of 47 chapters, ending in June 2008 and was collected into 11 tankobon. The series was licensed in United States by Viz Media, and was released under their Shojo Beat manga-line.

Synopsis
Otomiya Haine is a 15 year old student, attending an elite private school known as Teikoku Gakuen (帝国学園; Imperial Academy). She is a strong and kind girl, with a sorted past: her parents sold her to her foster family for 50 million yen, and during middle school she became a yankii gang member. After meeting Togu Shizumasa, he gave her adivce on how to live her life. She had previously fell in love with him after reading a poem he wrote as a child fell, and she entered Teikoku Gakuen to be close to him.
At Teikoku Gakuen the school is divided up into three different rankings: gold, silver, and bronze. Bronze students are the lowest level with the least privlagaes and they are from wealthy families, and silver students are higher up with more privlagaes and their families are millionaires. Togu Shizumasa is the only gold rank student as well as the student counsil president and becuase of this he is known as the koutei (皇帝; emperor) of the school. Otomiya Haine starts off as a regular bronze student, but she ends up becoming Shizumasa's bodyguard, and only platinum rank student.

Student Council
- Otomiya Haine (乙宮灰音)
- She is the main character of the story, and is a bodyguard to student counsil president, Togu Shizumasa. She fell in love with Togu when they were children after reading he published, and she met him later on at a party for the book. Her parents later fell on some hardtimes and borrowed a 50 million yen loan from Otomiya family. Unable to pay them back, they left the Otomiyas their daughter as payment. Because of this she felt unloved and when she was in the ninth grade she joined a yankii gang. One night, to hide from the police she entered Amamiya Ushio's house and the two soon became best friends. She then entered Teikoku Gakuen as a bronze rank, hoping to meet Togu Shizumasa once again. After she finds him after he goes missing she is made his bodyguard, and becomes of platinum rank.
- Togu Takanari (東宮高成)
- He is the koutei and president of the student council, and he is Togu Shizumasa's twin brother. Because of his brothers health problems, he is posing as him at the school, and only Tsujimiya Maguri and the Togu family know this. At first he is mean to Otomiya and dislikes her, but later he falls in love with her.
- Togu Shizumasa (東宮閑雅)
- He is the koutei of Teikoku Gakuen. Because of his illness, his twin brother Takanari is posing as him. He is often very cruel to his brother, but he is very nice to Otomiya, because he is in love with her. He missing throughout most of the series because of his illness.
- Amamiya Ushio (天宮潮)
- She is the best friend of Otomiya Haine and the secretary of student council. She is known as "Lady Hydrangea" as the boys at the school, because she is often cold to them and she uses them for her own personal gain. Amamiya meet Otomiya after she escaped from the police and broke into Amaiya's house to hide. The two soon became friends because of their silimar sorted past. She often says that Otomiya is the only person she needs, and is very protective of her.
- Ichinomiya "Maora" Yoshitaka (一ノ宮真央羅)
- He is the treasurer as well as the brain child behind the student counsil. His name is actually Ichinomiya Yoshitaka, but prefers to call himself Maora, and usually dresses as a girl. He is also the childhood friend of Tsujimiya Maguri. He also works as the mailman at the school, and because this he falls in love with Otomiya.
- Tsujimiya Maguri (辻宮真栗)
- He is the vice president opf student counsil. He is best friends with Togu Takanari, and childhood friends with Maora. He comes from a family of yakuzas. Once Otomiya starts dating Takanari, he reveals his feelings for him. He laters starts to fall for the mailman, which is Maora.
